ABOUT ME

Hi there!

I’m a British-born, Berlin-based freelancer. I’ve been writing about travel and culture for over twenty years for a range of international publications including The Guardian, Sunday Times Travel, Forbes, BBC Travel, Telegraph Travel, Wallpaper, Afar.com, Mixmag and The Spaces, among others.

I have also written a number of books, mostly travel guides on destinations such as Marrakech, Prague, Berlin, Hamburg, France, Italy and Russia for publishers such as Wallpaper, Time Out, Cool Camping, Rough Guide, National Geographic, DK and HG2 (A Hedonist's Guide To...)., but also a few books about music (Waking Up In Iceland, Sullivan's Music Trivia, Remixology) and a Literary Guide to Berlin. 

Finally, I run a sustainable travel portal, www.slowtravelberlin.com here in Berlin through which I have self-published several books about Berlin and run small-group city tours.
